About Me
This is my third year here at Long Beach Elementary and ninth year with Oswego School District 308. I grew up in North Aurora and graduated from West Aurora High School. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University in 2010. Currently I am working towards my Masters in Educational Leadership at Aurora University and look forward to graduating this May. Since graduation, I have been a classroom teacher for grades 3rd through 6th with this being my seventh year teaching fifth grade.
Outside of education, I stay quite busy as a volleyball coach. I am the Boys Head Varsity Coach at Oswego East High School, going on my 5th year now leading the program. I also serve as a coach and program manager for Cyclones Volleyball Club, a private volleyball club based out of Aurora. My wife Megan and I currently reside in Yorkville and we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first child in late August! Megan is a Health/Physical Education teacher at Oswego East High School and coaches both girls varsity and boys freshman volleyball at Oswego East. It is my personal philosophy that education is not just about mastering the subject matter but becoming quality citizens and lifelong learners. I look forward to working with all of our students throughout this upcoming school year! |
